Our Favorite Tech Hacks
By Next Level Pod on October 19th, 2022 in Uncategorized
Your business life and personal life are intimately connected. If one suffers, the other suffers. Conversely, if you’re feeling organized and productive in one, you’re probably feeling the same way in the other.
This is why we want to share our top tech hacks today, both for business and home. These hacks include everything from apps to appliances but they will all make your life easier.
Of course, some of them solve “first-world problems,” but anything you can do to make your life run more smoothly will help you take your law firm to the next level, too.
Appliances
Let’s start off with some appliances that have made our home life so much easier.
Smart Washers & Dryers
Smart washers and dryers like these connect to your phone. You choose the settings and start the loads right from your phone.
You also get notified when the loads are done. If a load finishes and you’re not able to get it from the dryer, you can click a button and it will rotate your clothes with a little bit of hot air to keep them from getting wrinkly.
Instant Pot
Instant Pots also connect to your phone. If you’re upstairs and working on other things, you can just click a button and your dinner will start cooking.
simplehuman Trash Can
Simplehuman trash cans are trash cans that you don’t have to touch. They open with a voice command so you don’t have to touch the can with wet hands and can reduce the spread of germs.
Office Tech Tools
Next, we’ve got some handy tech tools to use in your office.
Kudoboard
Kudoboard acts as a replacement for the old-school method of getting signatures on a birthday card for someone in the office. It’s an online board of messages where your team members can go in, pick an image, and write a message. You can have everyone’s birthdays and various work anniversaries scheduled in there and then send the boards out for people to sign a couple of weeks before.
WiseStamp
WiseStamp is an email signature generator. Most built-in email signatures are kind of boring and, to customize them, you have to do a lot of coding. On WiseStamp, however, you can create your signature from a variety of templates, upload your headshot, add links to your social media profiles, and more.
Calendly
We have talked about Calendly in the past. However, as a reminder, it’s the best tool for managing your schedule and booking calls in your law firm.
Miscellaneous Tech Hacks
Finally, we’ve got a fun tech hack you can use for your personal life: Google Maps Lists.
Did you know you can save locations and destinations to a list on Google? That way, when you visit a city, you have a built-in list of activities and restaurants to check out. Check out this article to learn how to set this up.
You can also create a “favorites” list in Google Maps. Instead of typing the same address over and over, you can add that location as a favorite. Then, the next time you want to go there, you just have to click a button and you’ll get navigated there.
